WH Smith said it would set out its delayed fiscal-year results next week as the company completes an audit that led the chief executive to step down.
The British travel retailer said Friday that it would publish preliminary results for fiscal 2025, which ran to Aug. 31, next Friday, Dec. 19.
"The revised date will provide the company and the group auditors, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, further time to complete the required audit procedures," WH Smith said.
WH Smith had repeatedly delayed publication of the annual results amid a review into an accounting overstatement at its North American unit. Chief Executive Carl Cowling last month resigned after the review found inconsistencies with the group's accounting policy.
U.K. boss Andrew Harrison is serving as interim group CEO while the company searches for Cowling's replacement.
