Origin Energy Signs Three-Year Gas Deal With Bass Oil

Origin Energy (ASX:ORG) signed a three-year gas sales agreement with Bass Oil (ASX:BAS) for the supply of gas produced from the Vanessa gas project in South Australia, which is also being acquired by Bass Oil, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

First gas is expected in 2026 following completion of the project acquisition and recommissioning of production facilities, the filing said.

Bass Oil shares rose more than 135% in recent Monday trade and earlier reached their highest since September 2024.
