Shares of Shopify declined after the ecommerce platform said some of its merchants are having trouble accessing their point-of-sale systems.

The stock fell 3.8% to $152.59 on Monday. Shares are up 43% this year.

Shopify said its merchants may experience issues when trying to log in to its platform and access their POS systems.

Some merchants may see an issue with in-store checkouts as a result, the company said. Online store checkouts aren't affected.

Shopify said it is continuing to investigate and mitigate the issue. The outage comes on Cyber Monday, a popular day for shopping sales ahead of the holidays.
