APA Group (ASX:APA) agreed with CS Energy to develop and own the proposed Brigalow Peaking Power Plant in Queensland, set to be operational in 2028, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
Development of the project remains conditional, the filing said. If conditions are met, the company will acquire an 80% stake, while CS Energy will operate and maintain the plant with a 20% stake, the filing said.
A detailed engineering design for the plant is set to be completed in the first half of fiscal 2028, the filing added.
APA's investment in the project will be funded through its existing balance sheet capacity, the company said.
