Meteoric Resources NL (ASX:MEI) said it expects the approval of the preliminary environmental license for its Caldeira rare earth project in Brazil on Dec. 19 during the State Council for Environmental Policy's (COPAM) meeting, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The approval of the license was previously scheduled to be received at the meeting on Nov. 28, but the State Foundation for Environmental (FEAM) President has requested more time to respond to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office's (MPF) questions related to Caldeira, the filing said.

The company said it will assist FEAM in responding to MPF.

Shares of the company fell past 14% in recent Monday trade.
