Ondas Holdings shares were higher after the company invested $35 million in Performance Drone Works, which provides drones for military and government applications.

The stock was up 27.7% to $8.60 Monday and is up about 233% this year.

Ondas provides autonomous aerial and ground robot intelligence through its Ondas Autonomous Systems unit and private wireless technology through Ondas Networks.

Ondas said PDW's most recent contract is a $20.9 million award from the U.S. Army to supply its C100 UAS and Multi-Mission Payloads.

In August, PDW said it opened Drone Factory 01, a 90,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Ala.
