Midwest Gold Sets Up Sri Lanka Subsidiary for Renewable Energy Push; Shares Up 5%

Midwest Gold (BOM:526570) has incorporated a step-down wholly owned subsidiary, Good Energy, in Sri Lanka, according to a Thursday filing on BSE.

The unit has an authorized share capital of 300 million Sri Lankan rupees and will operate in renewable and clean-energy segments, including battery energy storage systems, the filing said.

Shares of the company jumped nearly 5% in early trade on Friday.
