FuboTV said NBCUniversal pulled its networks from the streaming platform after Fubo didn't agree with its demands while negotiating a content distribution agreement.

Fubo said it had been engaged in negotiations with NBCUniversal to renew its content agreement to distribute its networks. Fubo said it felt the entertainment company's demands would hurt Fubo customers so it didn't agree to them.

NBCUniversal pulled its networks from Fubo on Nov. 21, Fubo said. NBCUniversal didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

NBCUniversal is spinning off some of its cable networks into a new company called Versant on Jan. 1. Fubo said it had offered to distribute Versant channels for one year. NBCUniversal wanted Fubo to sign a multi-year deal, Fubo said.

Fubo also claimed NBCUniversal wants it to subsidize its Versant channels and is discriminating against Fubo by allowing other streaming companies to integrate Peacock directly into their channel store, but not doing the same for Fubo.
