Challenger (ASX:CGF) said S&P Global Ratings has recently completed its annual ratings review and upgraded the long-term financial strength and issuer credit ratings for Challenger Life and Challenger, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
S&P upgraded Challenger to "A-" from "BBB+" and Challenger Life to "A+" from "A," per the filing.
Challenger's shares fell almost 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
