- Amazon AMZN.O said it would invest up to $50 billion to expand AI and supercomputing capabilities for Amazon Web Services' U.S. government customers, in one of the largest cloud infrastructure commitments targeted at the public sector.

- Six Flags Entertainment FUN.N has appointed John Reilly as its new president and chief executive, effective December 8.

- U.S. broadcaster Sinclair SBGI.O has offered to buy E.W. Scripps SSP.O in a cash-and-stock deal that values its smaller rival at $538 million, as cord-cutting and competition from streaming services lead to consolidation in the media industry.

- Performance Food Group Company PFGC.N and US Foods USFD.N will no longer pursue a potential merger, opting to pursue independent strategies, the companies said.

- The U.S. Justice Department has reached a settlement with RealPage over allegations it helped landlords fix rents by sharing pricing information through its software.
