Uber Technologies' (UBER) Uber Eats and DoorDash (DASH) reached a deal with Australia's Transport Workers Union to establish "minimum standards" for on-demand delivery workers, including a minimum wage rate, the union said Tuesday.
The union and the companies have submitted the agreement to the Fair Work Commission for approval, according to the statement.
Apart from minimum wage, the agreement covers accident insurance for injured workers, representation rights, and dispute resolution processes, among others, the union said.
Uber and DoorDash did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
