Futaba (TYO:6986) Taiwanese subsidiary, Taiwan Futaba Electronics, will sell a factory and its land use rights in Kaohsiung City for approximately 1.15 billion yen.
The transaction is expected to result in a significant gain on the sale of approximately 1.14 billion yen, which will be recorded in Futaba's consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
The sale is part of a management streamlining effort that consolidated four factory sites into three, making the vacated property surplus, according to its Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.
The buyer is Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, an unrelated semiconductor manufacturer also based in Kaohsiung.
