WCT's Near-Term Job Visibility Appears Dim -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Nov 26

2357 GMT - CIMB Securities cuts its FY 2025-FY 2027 core earnings forecasts for WCT Holdings by 6%-10% to 52 million ringgit-77 million ringgit as it expects job visibility to remain dim over the near term. It deems the Malaysia-based investment holding company's nine-month results to be below expectations, and reckons 4Q earnings are unlikely to improve materially without fresh land sales. "We believe that the likelihood of WCT meeting its MYR1 billion new order book target for FY25 is increasingly slim," it says in a note. It cuts its FY 2025 and FY 2026 new job win assumptions by 50% and 8%, respectively. CIMB also lowers the target price by 19% to MYR0.73 and maintains a hold amid poor job visibility.
