LG Chem Develops Key Solid Electrolyte Technology with Hanyang University for All-Solid-State Batteries

LG Chem (KRX:051910) developed a method to precisely control solid electrolyte particle size-an advance that could speed up the commercialization of all-solid-state batteries, the chemicals manufacturer said in a Tuesday release.
The findings, a result of research conducted jointly by LG Chem's Next Generation Materials Research Institute and the research team of Professor Song Tae-seop of Hanyang University, were published in the academic journal Advanced Energy Materials.
LG Chem plans to use this breakthrough to boost solid electrolyte development and all-solid-state battery commercialization, according to the company.
Shares of LG Chem rose more than 1% in recent trade.
