The shares of Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) and Newmont (ASX:NEM) jumped over 2%, while those of Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) rose past 1% in recent trading on Thursday, buoyed by the rising gold price.
Spot gold rose 0.8% to $4,162.99 per ounce, supported by expectations of US rate cuts in December.
