SMX (Security Matters) plc has partnered with CARTIF in Valladolid, Spain, to implement a new model for measuring and verifying circular economy practices. The collaboration aims to provide real-time, traceable data on material flows and recycling activities, allowing companies to substantiate sustainability claims and qualify for economic incentives. The system draws on SMX's previous work with Singapore's A*STAR, where waste streams and recycled content were tracked using a digital framework. This initiative is intended to facilitate compliance, improve access to grants, and enable more efficient R&D validation, supporting measurable sustainability outcomes in European industry.
