Centurium Capital is mulling a bid for Coca-Cola's (KO) Costa Coffee chain, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Bloomberg said no proposal has been finalized yet and that talks remain at an early stage, with no guarantee that a formal bid would push through. Centurium Capital could also extend the offer through its Luckin Coffee chain, according to the report.

No financial details were disclosed, but sources told Bloomberg that potential offers from some interested parties value Costa Coffee at about 1 billion British pounds ($1.32 billion).

Centurium Capital, Costa Coffee, and Coca-Cola did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
