Energy stocks were edging higher premarket Monday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) advancing by 0.3%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 0.7% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.5% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.5% at $60.02 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.4% to $63.90 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 1.3% at $4.37 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Venture Global (VG) stock was up nearly 13% after the company said its Q3 swung to net income as revenue increased during the period.
