Xpeng May Benefit From Entry to Robotaxi Market -- Market Talk

0803 GMT - Xpeng may benefit from its entry to the robotaxi market, according to Citi analysts in a research note. Xpeng has announced it will partner with Alibaba Group's ride-hailing platform Amap to operate robotaxi services, they say. "This is promising news in our view," the analysts say. The early move into the new robotaxi business and collaboration with Alibaba may enhance its first-mover advantage versus other electric vehicle players. Together with recent other developments such as entry into the humanoid robot and flying cars segment, this should build good sentiment on the stock, the analysts add. Citi maintains a buy rating, with a target price of $29.40 on its ADRs, which last traded at $21.79. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
