ASE Technology Unit Buys Machinery Worth NT$1.02 Billion; Shares Drop 3%

ASE Technology (TPE:3711) unit Advanced Semiconductor Engineering acquired operational machinery and equipment from Lam Research International for NT$1.02 billion, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Shares slid about 3% in Friday's midday trade.
The machinery was acquired between Dec. 2, 2024, and Nov. 6, 2025.
The projects will support the company's production and operational needs, it said.
