HSBC Issues $5 Billion in Senior Unsecured Notes

HSBC (HKG:0005) issued a total of $5 billion in senior unsecured notes, comprising two fixed-to-floating rate tranches and one floating-rate tranche, according to a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The issuance comprises $2.25 billion of 4.619% fixed-to-floating rate notes maturing in 2031, another $2.25 billion of 5.133% fixed-to-floating rate notes due 2036, and $500 million of floating-rate notes also maturing in 2031.

The notes were issued under HSBC's existing indenture and will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange, according to the filing.
