FIH Mobile (HKG:2038) recorded a profit of $35.9 million in the September quarter, up from $5.4 million a year prior, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
Revenue and other operating revenue in the quarter rose to $3.17 billion from $2.26 billion in the year-ago period, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, profit stood at $42.1 million, compared with a loss of $26.2 million. Revenue and other operating revenue jumped to $5.23 billion from $4.15 billion previously.
The handset maker forecasts a mid-teen percentage increase in revenue and a "significant" improvement in financial results for the year.
