LG Electronics, KT Sign Deal to Jointly Develop Quantum Internet Communication Technologies

LG Electronics (KRX:066570) signed an agreement with telecom giant KT (KRX:030200) to jointly develop next-generation quantum internet communication technologies, with an aim to build quantum direct communication (QDC)-based ultra-secure networks.
The partnership will focus on developing quantum repeater and network element technologies, along with establishing a verification environment, and advancing standardization efforts, LG Electronics said in a Wednesday release.
The collaboration will bring together LG's expertise in advanced communication and KT's experience in quantum key distribution.
