China Communications Construction's Profit Falls 16% in Q3; Shares Lose 2%

China Communications Construction (HKG:1800, SHA:601800) reported net profit attributable to shareholders of 4.08 billion yuan for the third quarter, down 16% from a year earlier, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the firm were down 2% in Friday's mid-day trade.
Earnings per share came in at 0.23 yuan, a decrease of 19% year-on-year.
Operating income for the quarter slipped 1.3% to 176.9 billion yuan.
