JetBlue's First Lounge Still on Track to Open in 4Q -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

1433 ET - JetBlue is still on track to open its first airport lounge at JFK by the end of the year, President Marty St. George says on a call with analysts. The New York City-based carrier last year said it would debut a lounge on its home turf in 2025. A second lounge, in Boston, is set to launch next year. JetBlue wants to cater to more premium flyers, a common playbook among airlines recently given persistent strength in the market for premium seats. "Demand for peak period travel remains strong, led by the resilience of the premium leisure segment, which aligns well with our new premier card, our plans to open our first lounge this quarter, as well as domestic first class launching next year," CEO Joanna Geraghty says on the call.
