China International Capital's (SHA:601995, HKG:3908) profit attributable to shareholders in the third quarter soared 255% year on year to 2.24 billion yuan, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing on Wednesday.
The Chinese investment bank's Shanghai shares dropped 2% during Thursday's morning trade.
Earnings per share surged 357% from a year earlier to 0.426 yuan.
Operating revenue jumped 75% year on year to 7.93 billion yuan.
