CMOC's Q3 Profit Jumps 96%, Revenue Slips 2%; Shares Up 3%

CMOC's (HKG:3993, SHA:603993) net profit attributable to shareholders in the third quarter jumped 96% year on year to 5.61 billion yuan, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing on Saturday.

The Chinese copper and cobalt manufacturer's Hong Kong shares soared over 3% and Shanghai shares rose over 2% during Monday's morning trade.

Earnings per share in the same quarter climbed 86% year on year to 0.26 yuan.

Operating revenue slipped 2.4% from a year earlier to 50.7 billion yuan.
