Lithium Americas Receives First Drawdown of $435 Million from US Energy Department

Lithium Americas Corp. has announced it has received its first drawdown of $435 million from a $2.23 billion loan guaranteed by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) under the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan Program.
The funding will support the construction of processing facilities at the Thacker Pass lithium project in Humboldt County, Nevada.
The DOE loan features a 23-year tenor, with principal and interest repayments scheduled to begin in January 2029.
There is no indication from the available information that this funding was obtained by organizations other than Lithium Americas Corp.
