Kezar Life Sciences plans to restructure and explore strategic alternatives. Shares soared 44% to $6.03 in after-hours trading Thursday.

Avita Medical shared preliminary revenue below expectations and said its CEO is stepping down. The stock shed 20% to $4.30 after the bell.

VirnetX got a long-term contract to provide cybersecurity to the U.S. Government. The stock gained 13% to $19.25.
