Oracle's (ORCL) E-Business Suite application was breached at American Airlines (AAL) subsidiary Envoy Air.

An Envoy spokesperson said in an email to MT Newswires that one of its IT systems was affected by the breach and that law enforcement had been contracted.

"We have conducted a thorough review of the data at issue and have confirmed no sensitive or customer data was affected," the spokesperson said Friday. "A limited amount of business information and commercial contact details may have been compromised."

The hack was part of a broader extortion campaign attributed to the Russian cybercriminal group Clop, according to multiple media reports.

Last week, Oracle said it released the latest patch addressing vulnerabilities in its E-Business Suite software.

Oracle shares fell 6.9% in Friday trading, and American Airlines eased 0.2%.
