Shares of Rekor Systems gained after the company forecast record sales in the third quarter, driven by higher demand for its data and software offerings.
The stock climbed 14% to $2.38 in premarket trading on Tuesday. Shares are up 33% this year through market close on Monday.
The company said Tuesday it expects to report third-quarter revenue of $13.9 million to $14.3 million. Analysts polled by FactSet forecast $12.5 million.
Rekor also expects to narrow its adjusted loss before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization to a range of $1.6 million to $1.9 million, from $9.2 million in the prior year.
The preliminary results were driven by increased demand for data delivered as a service and software products, the Columbia, Md., company said.
Rekor expects to release its full financial results for the quarter on Nov. 13 after market close.
