ASML Holding appointed company veteran Marco Pieters as executive vice president and chief technology officer with immediate effect.

The Dutch maker of semiconductor-manufacturing equipment said Thursday that Pieters, who has more than two decades of experience at the company, would report to Chief Executive Christophe Fouquet. Pieters was recently executive vice president for the Applications product area.

ASML's supervisory board plans to appoint Pieters to the board of management on April 22 at the company's annual general meeting.

The board also intends to reappoint Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Roger Dassen for a four-year term, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Frederic Schneider-Maunoury for a two-year term.
