Information technology stocks advanced almost 1% at midday Friday.

Infomedia (ASX:IFM) said it plans to hold a scheme meeting and its 2025 annual general meeting on Nov. 18. It sent a booklet to its shareholders regarding the proposed acquisition of all Infomedia shares by McQueen BidCo, an entity owned by an investment holding entity in Singapore, managed or advised by TPG Capital or its related entities, via a scheme of arrangement.
