Entergy (ETR) said multiple technology companies are looking to build large data centers in northern Louisiana after Meta Platforms (META) announced intentions to build its largest AI-focused facility there, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing Entergy Louisiana Chief Executive Officer Phillip May.
The company said in an emailed statement that it considers Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas "an attractive economic hub" with various advanates.
"While we don't have any new customer announcements today, we are in regular and ongoing discussions with companies that are seeking to move to and grow in our region," the company said.
