Auckland airport welcomes regulator’s decision that airport probe unneccesary
Oct 6 (Reuters) - Auckland International Airport AIA.NZ said on Monday it welcomed the New Zealand Commerce Commission's decision not to launch a formal inquiry into airport regulation as Air New ZealandAIR.NZ had requested.
The country's flagship carrier called for an inquiry in July 2024, but the competition regulator said on Monday it had concluded that such a move was unnecessary and could add costs to the sector.
