Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI on Monday introduced a new in-chat app platform for ChatGPT, allowing users to access third-party services such as Spotify (SPOT), Booking's (BKNG) Booking.com, Figma (FIG), Expedia (EXPE), Zillow (ZG, Z), Coursera (COUR), and Canva directly within the chatbot.
The new feature enables users perform tasks like creating playlists with Spotify or browsing property listings through Zillow without leaving ChatGPT, OpenAI said.
OpenAI said the apps are available in English to logged-in users outside the European Union across its Free, Go, Plus and Pro plans.
Separately, Spotify said its integration enables users to request personalized music and podcast recommendations within ChatGPT. The company said the feature is opt-in and that no audio or video content will be shared with OpenAI for training purposes.
OpenAI said more app partners and developer tools will roll out later this year.
