Rivian's 3Q Delivery Beat Provides Cushion for Moderation in 4Q -- Market Talk

Oct 02

1057 ET - Rivian posts higher-than-expected deliveries in 3Q and narrows its full-year delivery outlook. The new outlook is in-line with Benchmark's model, analysts from the firm say in a research note. It will also provide a cushion going into 4Q, when deliveries are expected to normalize after pull-forward in demand during 3Q tied to policy and incentive timing in select markets, the analysts say. "Our focus remains beyond near-term swings and on the 2026 mid-size platform launch and software monetization as key drivers of the profitability path," they write. Shares fall 8.1%.
