National Grid said its half-year earnings are in line with its expectations, and that it expects its underlying earnings per share to be weighted toward the second half of the year.
The British energy-infrastructure company didn't provide financial figures outlining what its expectations are. It plans to publish its half-year results on Nov. 6.
It said it expects profit from its U.K. Electricity Transmission and U.K. Electricity Distribution divisions to be broadly split across the year. Profit from its U.S. regulated businesses for the first six months of the fiscal year are expected to rise due to fewer storms affecting distribution but remain weighted toward the second half of the year.
In its National Grid Ventures division it expects a roughly even weighting of profitability across the year.
