NexGen Energy Expects to Raise $396 Million in Upsized Offering

NexGen Energy (NXE) said Thursday it expects to raise 600 million Australian dollars ($396 million) in gross proceeds from an upsized offering of 45.8 million common shares at AU$13.10 per share.

The company also reiterated that it plans to raise 400 million Canadian dollars ($286.9 million) through a bought deal offering of 33.1 million shares at CA$12.08 each.

The company said it intends to use the net proceeds to advance engineering and fund pre-production capital costs for its Rook I project in Canada, and for general corporate purposes.

The offering is expected to close on Oct. 15, the company said.

Shares of the company were down 1.4% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
