Technology stocks were edging higher premarket Monday, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) advancing by 0.7% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) up 1.2%.
Electronic Arts (EA) shares were up more than 5% after the company said it has agreed to be acquired by an investor consortium comprised of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners in an all-cash transaction valued at about $55 billion.
ACM Research (ACMR) shares were up more than 5% after the company said its operating subsidiary ACM Research Shanghai's total backlog increased 34.1% from a year earlier to 9.07 billion Chinese renminbi ($1.27 billion), as of Monday.
International Business Machines (IBM) will commit about 20,000 hours of technical resources valued at about $5 million to support the growth of Datavault AI's (DVLT) platform build and go-to-market initiatives, Datavault AI said. Datavault AI stock was up more than 19% pre-bell.
