Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Advance Pre-Bell Monday

Consumer stocks were advancing pre-bell Monday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) up 0.2% and The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) 0.6% higher.

Village Farms International (VFF) shares were up more than 15% after the company said its board approved a $10 million share buyback program.

Escalade (ESCA) stock was 0.9% higher after the company said it acquired Gold Tip, a target archery and crossbow hunting business, from Revelyst.

DraftKings (DKNG) said it has entered into a multiyear advertising agreement with NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast (CMCSA), for exclusive integrations and digital sponsorships across NBCUniversal's sports properties, including premier national coverage. DraftKings shares were 0.4% higher premarket.
