Top Education's Full-Year Profit Jumps on Higher Revenue; Shares Surge 28%

Top Education (HKG:1752) posted a profit attributable to owners of AU$3.4 million for the fiscal year ended June 30, up from AU$1.9 million a year earlier, according to a Sept. 26 Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the firm were up nearly 28% in Monday's mid-day trade.

Earnings per share rose to AU$0.00143 from AU$0.00080 in the prior year.

Revenue increased 18% to AU$34.3 million from AU$29.0 million.

The board proposed a final dividend of HK$0.006 per share, compared with HK$0.002 a year ago, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.
