Jumia Technologies Collaborates With Spiro to Use Electric Bikes for Deliveries in Uganda

Jumia Technologies (JMIA) said Thursday it is collaborating with electric vehicle firm Spiro to launch a fleet of electric bikes, aiming to reduce emissions and lower costs within its logistics operations in Uganda.
The electric bikes will replace part of Jumia's existing fuel-based fleet used for deliveries, the company said.
Spiro also plans to offer favorable rates for Jumia's logistics partners to encourage adoption of eco-friendly transport solutons, Jumia said.
