1045 GMT - Data-center operators including VNET Group could benefit from Alibaba's long-term AI spending and IT power plans, Nomura analysts Ethan Zhang and Bing Duan say in a note. After a muted 2Q, orders are projected to rise in 2H, following a new contract in for its internet data center in Hebei province, and potential renegotiations in Jiangsu province. VNET's plan to raise capital expenditure and capacity delivery capability in 2H 2026 could encourage the company to bid for more projects. Nomura maintains a buy rating with a $13.20 target on VNET's ADRs, which last closed at $10.37 (jason.chau@wsj.com)
