China Sunshine Paper Holdings Co. Ltd. reported its interim results for the first half of 2025, posting total revenue of RMB3,752.5 million, a decrease of 9.7% compared to RMB3,956.6 million in the first half of 2024. This decline was mainly attributed to lower sales prices and a decrease in sales volume. Sales of paper products fell by 9.8% to RMB3,365.5 million, with sales volume decreasing to approximately 966,600 tonnes from 1,014,600 tonnes in the same period last year. Profit attributable to owners of the company for the period was RMB83.2 million, down from RMB189.4 million in the first half of 2024. By segment, sales of white top linerboard amounted to RMB671.5 million with a gross profit margin of 17.0%, and coated-white top linerboard sales reached RMB817.2 million with a gross profit margin of 14.4%. During the period, the company completed the acquisition of the remaining 40% equity interest in Sunshine Oji (Shouguang) Specialty Paper Co., Ltd., making it a wholly owned subsidiary. The company stated this move is expected to enhance management efficiency and foster synergies with Shandong Xianhua New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. Looking ahead, China Sunshine Paper aims to expand its specialty paper market, improve its research and development system, and introduce new specialty paper products to increase market share and contribute to future revenue and profit growth.
