Nuclear stocks jumped again on Friday. NANO Nuclear Energy and Oklo rose 14%; NuScale Power rose 10%; Lightbridge rose 9%; Centrus rose 8%; Energy Fuels rose 4%; KULR Technology rose 3%; Denison Mines and Uranium rose 2%; Cameco rose 1%.

Nuclear energy stocks were surging on Thursday, as the Trump administration makes the industry a centerpiece of its trade talks around the world.

Several stocks related to the nuclear industry were up after the U.S. and U.K. agreed to pursue nuclear energy on joint tracks, opening the U.K. nuclear market to more American technology. U.S. reactor developers Oklo and NuScale Power rose 12% and 7.6% respectively; nuclear fuel developer Centrus jumped 14%; and nuclear tech company BWX Technologies rose 3.5%.

Nuclear energy was one of the top issues discussed by U.S. and UK officials during President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK this week, along with artificial intelligence. In a memorandum of understanding released on Thursday, the White House said that the two countries will collaborate, aiming to speed nuclear reviews and deployment.

Historically, it’s taken the UK three or four years to license a reactor; the country now plans to finish reviews in two years. The U.S. has set a goal for an 18-month review process.

The two countries will also collaborate on building a nuclear fuel supply chain, an industry now dominated by Russia, according to the document. Both countries want to fully wean themselves off Russian fuel by 2028. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said this week at a conference in Vienna that he plans to advocate for nuclear energy agreements in other countries too.

Efforts to move the nuclear supply chain away from Russia have already helped multiple companies, including BWX Technologies and Cameco.

In a separate announcement, the UK detailed nuclear projects involving companies on both sides of the pond. Privately held U.S. nuclear developers Terapower, Holtec, Last Energy, and X-Energy are all working on UK projects, along with European counterparts.

UK company Rolls-Royce Holdings has also taken early steps to get approval for its small nuclear reactor design in the United States. The UK already selected Rolls Royce to build the country’s first small reactors. Its stock is up 112% this year.
