PayPal (PYPL), Bank of America (BAC), Citigroup (C), and S&P Global (SPGI) are among the US firms that have committed more than 1.25 billion British pounds ($1.70 billion) to the UK's financial services sector, the UK government said Saturday.
Bank of America will create up to 1,000 roles in Belfast, while Citigroup is investing 1.1 billion pounds across its UK operations, the official statement said.
BlackRock (BLK) will open a new Edinburgh office and plans to allocate more than 7 billion pounds to the UK market next year on behalf of clients, plus 500 million pounds for UK enterprise data centers. PayPal is investing 150 million pounds in the UK, while S&P is funding more than 4 million pounds for its Manchester offices.
