Toyota Motor (TYO:7203) began sales of its e-Palette battery electric vehicle on Sept. 15, designed for multi-use mobility services, according to a Monday statement by the company.
Shares of the Japanese automaker rose over 1% in Tuesday's afternoon trade.
The e-Palette offers a spacious interior and large windows, allowing it to function as a shuttle, mobile store, or entertainment vehicle. It features a low floor, wide sliding doors, electric ramp, and optional wheelchair fastening equipment for accessibility.
