Shanghai Electric's Subsidiary to Cut Stake in Shanghai Highly; Shanghai Highly's Shares Dip 10%

Shanghai Electric Group Hong Kong plans to divest about 1% of its holdings in Shanghai Highly (SHA:600619, SHA:900910), according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Tuesday.

Shanghai Electric Hong Kong is a subsidiary of Shanghai Highly's controlling shareholder, Shanghai Electric Group (HKG:2727, SHA:601727).

The stake, which represents 10,733,444 shares, will be offloaded between Sept. 30 and Dec. 29 through centralized bidding.

Shanghai Electric Hong Kong currently owned 27,407,225 B shares, or 2.55% of the company's total share capital.

The A shares of the Chinese manufacturer of components for white goods and energy vehicles slumped less than 10%, while B shares dipped 8% during midday trade. Shanghai Electric's Shanghai shares slipped over 1%.
