0901 GMT - The significant losses seen in Alibaba's instant commerce segment are likely temporary and expected to peak in the September quarter, Barclays analysts say in a research note. "We expect Alibaba to run its instant commerce business at around breakeven in a steady state, while extracting meaningful synergy to benefit its core e-commerce franchise," they say. Meanwhile, Alibaba's cloud revenue growth is expected to accelerate in the coming quarters with stable margins, they say. Barclays maintains an overweight rating on Alibaba while raising the target price to US$190.00 from US$145.00 for its ADRs, which last traded at US$141.20. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
